Hair extensions can be both good and bad. It depends on YOU. You have to take care of the extensions and your own hair properly. If you are wearing a "weave" (sewn in hair on a track), you need to know how the person is going to put it in your hair. Will they use bonding glue or will they sew the hair in? Either method has it pros and cons. If you have your hair "glued in", this is a quick and easy new style, but you must be careful. You should not pull at the hair when it is glued it. This could cause your real hair to be stressed and began to break. You also should not leave in the glued weave for more than two weeks. Certain glues used can become iritating and will drive you crazy with all of the itching. Getting your hair wet during that time can also be a problem because the glue can matte and become difficult to remove. When you are ready to remove the weave, let your hairdresser do it, or use a glue remover from the beauty supply store. If you are unable to get the remover, you can also use common baby oil. The oil melts the glue. If you use the baby oil, lift the track, add the oil and leave it. In a few minutes you can begin to massage the track and it should slide out without pulling your real hair. If you are getting braids, this may take a while, but it could last for months. You can wash it and let it air-dry. Just be sure to give your hair a break for a month or two when you do take out your braids, so you will not get any breakage. Always condition your hair when you wash it with any style you are wearing.

It might feel a little uncomfortable at first, but you get used to it. There are several ways, sowed, glued, and clipped in which are removable. If you glue it in, then it will pull your hair and hurt. Sowing is probably better. THe hair is easy to take care of. They last a while too.

I have never actually gotten hair extensions but I have watched my hair stylist apply them. They do not braid them in, they use a special bonder and the extensions last for about 6 months. The hair they use is 100% human hair. As far as I have heard, they are not a pain to take care of at all. They are just as easy as managing your natural hair. I hope this information was useful and GOOD LUCK!

they hurt quite a bit and are a serious pain in the ***. you cannot swim or live a normal life. I guess it all depends on how high maintenance you are- but if you like to have fun and stuff- good luck!
