I am a black girl with a natural curly afro. I wear puffs and ponytails and get braids but am looking for some more style options. any suggestions would be nice!

There a are plenty of no heat styles you can do; bantu knots, comb coils, two and three strand twists, braid outs, twist outs, wash n go's, flat twists, braided buns, faux hawks, straw sets, and more.

You could try doing those easy twists around youre head. You could also get hair salon stylist to straighten it and kinda curl it to go for another look. you could cut and jell it if youre up to it but the best idea is straitening and curling. Hope this helps :)

Girl I'm black and I no what your talking about you should try to go for straight hair by straighting it. Trust me you'll look good.

If you're cool with it, have it chemically straightened (by a professional, of course). This can be a major change, and most girls with natural curls like yours tend to like the results.

yeah, straightend always looks cool. i like braids also though, maybe try getting highlights (just don't go "bride of frankenstein" haha). it sounds like you haven't tried straightening yet tho, you should try that, although, i imagine its murder on your hair, as most chemical treatments are, but there are lots of different things you can do w/ straight hair that you can't w/ curly. :)

Go to a stylist and straighten it. Thats what my best friend did with her hair and hers is an afro. Now she looks much nicer!

when your hair is wet twist it in small sections with some curling product....if your hair is hard to control use a gel product....twist little sections and allow to dry it will give your hair more defined curls

you can wear your hair with loose curls, flat iron it straight with a ceramic flat iron, maybe some twists, or braids. there are alot of options besides getting a perm. if you are going to go for the straight look wrap your hair at night and use a silk scarf so when you wake up all you have to do is comb it down and it eliminates the need to curl it because the wrapping process creates a curl look and it adds body. good luck
