Can you relax hair with conditioner in it already?

i just took out braids and i put conditioner in it to loosen the knots at the root. i am getting a relaxer friday. do i need to rinse out the conditioner before getting the relaxer?

Yeah, you should rinse the conditioner out first. It would either make your perm ineffective if you have course hair, or it would over process your perm if you have thin or fine hair. But a good thing to do would be to ask your stylist or beautician how long your hair should personally wait before getting a perm at all after taking out braids. Everyone's hair is different and can take different levels of damage.

i would wash it out. most relaxer systems come with their own protective conditioner you put on before they put the relaxer in so it protects the ends of your hair. but definitely ask ur beautician.
